Deleted shared reminder list

Hey folks.

I had a private reminder list on my mac. And for some reason i thougt i could share it with my calendar when i highlighted the broadcast icon. I typed the letter "C" in shared section and then the sidebar autohide. When i looked at my list i had shared this private list with every email with a "C" in it.

So now I have sent a mail to everyone with a C in it to take part in my list.

This is persons at work, persons i dont realy know and so on.

I panicked and deleted the list right away. Can the persons invited still se the list? or will it just say "this list dont excist anymore" if they open the email?

I use the icloud reminders so it sync with iphone and ipad.

Is there any way turning this completly off so this cant happen again?
